After a lot of deliberating I have opted, for the sake of professionalism and beauty, to move this blog to somewhere bigger and more spiffy looking.
Blogger doesn't make their pages too easy to work and my knowledge of CSS isn't depthless so I think moving somewhere else was inevtiable. Sqaurespace is just the place. I highly recommend it to you.
All the content on this site will remain for you to peruse and send to your friends if you'd like but the new blog has now moved to http://rdthompson.squarespace.com/
It is SO much more crisp amd gorgeous. Do enjoy it and keep your eyes peeled for new features and posts :-)

Jake Koenig
After needing to reschedule on Wednesday (which led to the fortunate photos below in which my brother discovered his new career as a model :-) Jake and I got together to do his personal portraits. Jake never really got senior photos (or didn't like them possibly?) and as such hasn't had too many decent photos taken of him since 9th grade or so. When I heard that, I knew I needed to get Jake on the other side of the camera and immediately found in him an interested client. Our session was great (since we go back to Jr. High) and wonderfully informal. I love informal, it is a billion times more relaxing. As you will see below, we had a pretty good go of it. Enjoy!

Dak
Occasionally I'll do a shoot just because I like someone, I'm bored, or a client rescheduled or canceled. After I had a client reschedule today I figured it would be a waste to throw away all of my pre-visualized ideas and do nothing so when I had dinner with my family I asked my brother, Dak, to strike a pose for me. I like him a lot, I was a bit bored and my client rescheduled. Yes his name is Dak. Yes I do seniors. Enjoy :-)

Johnny and Kara Bloom
After a considerable break from blogging to move to Denver, CO and rethink my photographic style (as well as add some new and incredibly powerful software!) I am adding Johnny and Kara Bloom. Johnny and Kara were great to work with and gave me a real "down south" experience (complete with a crazy burger ordering ordeal) at their Pembroke, NC wedding. It was a beautiful, God-exalting, and Christ-centered wedding. Enjoy a taste of their memories!
